OpenStreetMap Japan & Korea Community (Joint Booth)

We'd like to introduce OpenStreetMap's activities in Japan!

Centered on OpenStreetMap, we hope to spark discussion around topics such as:

  • Local residents taking the lead in building open data archives for their own regions
  • How OSM's map-based nature lets us collaborate with the broader geospatial community
  • The ways technology has boosted OSM
  • How OSM itself has influenced technology, in turn

한국 사례 공유와 서울을 중심으로 한 현지 커뮤니티의 지도 정비 현황, 즐기는 방법, 기업용 지도와의 구분 활용, 활동 참여 방법에 대해 소개합니다.

Let's connect over our shared interest in open source and open data!
We'll be handing out leaflets and novelty goods!

Come tell us about your own relationship with maps, your OSM mapping experience, or anything else you'd like to share — we'd love to hear it!

Note:
Exchange between Japanese and Korean OSM contributors has long been active, with many Korean mappers visiting Japan over the years. This time, we're the ones visiting Korea!

안녕하세요, TomTom 조승희입니다.

Hi, it's Chloe from TomTom.

K.Sakanoshita

Affiliated with groups such as Shokoku Roman, Code for OSAKA, and OSMFJ.
My interests include Macross, open source, open data (OpenStreetMap, Wikipedia, etc.), and history (the Age of Discovery, the Bakumatsu period). I aim for an open world, placing great value on doing things "together."
I suppose I’ll identify myself as an "open data practitioner."
