Welcome to the Call for Proposals for the FOSS for All Conference 2025
FOSS for All Conference
Hosted by FOSS for All, the "FOSS for All Conference" is a non-profit open source community conference held under the slogan “Free and Open Source Software for All,” with the goal of creating an open source conference for everyone.
Around the world, community-driven nonprofit conferences such as COSCUP (Taiwan) and FOSDEM (Belgium) play a vital role in nurturing open source ecosystems in their respective countries. In Korea, while large global open source projects like Python, Golang, Ubuntu, OpenStack, and Kubernetes can organize and run their own conferences by forming organizing teams and securing sponsors, it is much more difficult for individuals or smaller open source projects to host technical exchange events. FOSS for All was born out of a desire to support the domestic open source ecosystem by creating a conference where a diverse range of open source projects from different fields can come together.
FOSS for All is open to anyone interested in open source software and communities. Developers, contributors, designers, translators, planners, and others from various backgrounds are welcome to share their experiences and knowledge. The conference will feature a variety of programs such as technical talks, community booths, and panel discussions.
All operations of FOSS for All are made possible through sponsorships, donations, and the participation of volunteers. We aim to keep participation fees to a minimum so that everyone can join without burden, and we operate under the philosophy of free and open source—promoting openness and voluntary participation without commercial objectives.

About FOSS for All
An initiative to build a sustainable Free and Open Source Software ecosystem
FOSS for All is an initiative launched by a collective of communities and projects from Korea and beyond, with the shared goal of building a sustainable Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) ecosystem. Starting with official organizational registration and the hosting of our first conference, we aim to expand into a full-fledged nonprofit organization, achieve public interest organization (donation-receiving entity) status, and build networks among projects, communities, businesses, and users.
Through these efforts, we hope to help open source projects and communities in Korea and worldwide focus on what truly matters—without the need to set up legal entities, navigate complex paperwork, or go through trial and error to access essential operational knowledge. By doing so, we aim to contribute to the development of a sustainable and impactful free and open source software environment.
